Nominations Open for DevOps World | Jenkins World 2019 Awards

Third annual awards program to recognize Jenkins contributors and DevOps innovators

SAN JOSE, CA. – DEVOPS WORLD | JENKINS WORLD – February 26, 2019 - CloudBees , the enterprise DevOps leader powering the continuous economy, and the Jenkins community , announced nominations are now open for the 2019 Jenkins Community Awards and CloudBees Innovation Awards . The deadline to submit nominations is April 30, 2019 and winners will be recognized at DevOps World | Jenkins World in San Francisco.

The third-annual DevOps World | Jenkins World Awards Program celebrates the achievements of DevOps innovators using CloudBees products and Jenkins contributors across the globe. The Jenkins Community Awards recognize individual Jenkins contributors who have made a significant impact on the community, while the CloudBees Innovation Awards honor organizations achieving business results through DevOps practices and continuous delivery processes using CloudBees solutions.

The Jenkins Community Awards, judged by Kohsuke Kawaguchi, founder of the Jenkins project and CTO at CloudBees, in consultation with the Jenkins World 2019 Organizing Committee, will recognize individuals in four categories:

  • Most Valuable Contributor will be presented to an individual who has contributed to the Jenkins project the most through new features, bug fixes or plugin development efforts.

  • Jenkins Security MVP will be presented to an individual most consistently providing excellent security reports or resolving security issues.

  • Most Valuable Advocate will be presented to an individual who has helped advocate for Jenkins through the organization of a local Jenkins Area Meet­up(s).

  • Most Innovative Jenkins X Implementation, a new category in this year’s program, will be presented to an innovative user who has embraced Jenkins X.

“The Jenkins project is the vibrant, active project that it is today because of the awesome work people do, often in ways not visible to others,” said Kawaguchi. “We recognize the top Jenkins contributors through the DevOps World | Jenkins World awards program. This year, we have added an award for Jenkins X. With its support for Kubernetes and cloud native applications, Jenkins X is one of the fastest growing parts of Jenkins.”

The awards will recognize organizations in two categories:

  • DevOps Automation Excellence Award will be presented to a CloudBees customer who exemplifies outstanding DevOps process automation and is able to document quantifiable business value from it.

  • DevOps Scalability Achievement Award will be presented to a CloudBees customer who has significantly scaled continuous delivery and DevOps, and is able to document quantifiable business value from it.
