Sacha was born in Neuchâtel, Switzerland and graduated in 1999 from EPFL. It was during Sacha's studies at EPFL that he started his first consulting business - Cogito Informatique. In 2001, he joined Marc Fleury's JBoss project as a core contributor and implemented JBoss' original clustering features. In 2003, Sacha founded the European headquarters for JBoss and, as GM for Europe, led the strategy and partnerships that helped fuel the company's growth in that region. While in this position, he led the recruitment of some of JBoss' key talent and acquisition of key technology. In 2005, he was appointed CTO of JBoss, Inc. and oversaw all of JBoss engineering. In June 2006, JBoss, Inc. was acquired by Red Hat (NYSE:RHT). After the acquisition, Sacha remained JBoss CTO and played a crucial role in integrating and productizing JBoss software with Red Hat offerings. In 2007, Sacha became co-General Manager of Red Hat's middleware division. He ultimately left Red Hat and founded CloudBees in April 2010.
At CloudBees, Susan oversees product development engineering. She brings more than 20 years of experience building and leading high-performing software engineering teams to deliver products across multiple industries including consumer, developer tooling and EdTech. Her passion for building great developer tools comes from her tenure at GitHub and Adobe. At GitHub, she led a department of 100+ engineers, managers and quality specialists. At Adobe, she built the original Adobe Flex team and helped grow the Flex community to over 1 million developers. On the consumer side, she has worked at Barnes and Noble/Nook Media, where she was vice president of engineering for NOOK content services. Finally, at OpenTable, she was the first vice president of engineering and brought the OpenTable reservation application to market.
John Tzioufas is chief revenue officer. In this role, John leads the entire revenue organization, which includes sales, consulting, training and channel partners. He came to CloudBees from Hitachi Vantara, where he served as SVP and GM of the Americas, with responsibility for the complete P&L of the Americas region including the United States, Canada, Latin America and the Hitachi Vantara Federal Division. Prior to Hitachi, he held executive leadership positions at Red Hat, HP Software, FAST Search and Transfer and Tibco. John brings 30 years of experience driving high impact results from building, directing and managing complex organizations in enterprise-level information technology sales and operations. His experience includes general management, strategic planning, customer service, P&L/budget management and business development.
Shawn Ahmed is senior vice president and general manager of CloudBees’ Software Delivery Automation business. Shawn manages product marketing, product business, field enablement and business consulting. He is responsible for the performance and revenue attainment goals of CloudBees’ Software Delivery Automation products (continuous integration, continuous delivery, feature flagging and build/test acceleration). Shawn has held previous leadership positions in companies such as Pivotus, Splunk and SAP. He is a graduate of UCLA.
A native of France, Laurence started her career at Club Med where she was responsible for the finance and human resources operations for some of the leading Club Med locations in Spain, Italy, Mexico and Japan. In 2000, she moved to the Bay Area where she became financial controller of a fabless semiconductor company. In 2004, Laurence moved to Switzerland where she became financial controller for EMEA for the then very fast-growing JBoss. In 2006, Laurence moved back to her home country and was the CFO for an open source, service-oriented architecture (SOA) software business. In 2010, Sacha Labourey invited Laurence to take on the corporate controller position in the yet-to-be-named CloudBees. Married to a Dutch engineer, Laurence has two teenagers, a baby dog and loves reading techno thrillers and historical fiction.
Moritz was the founder and CEO of CodeShip, a company acquired by CloudBees in 2018. At CloudBees, he is currently focused on operations and corporate development. During his tenure at CloudBees, he has been responsible for integrating CodeShip, post-acquisition, and furthering CloudBees’ cloud strategy. With his corporate development hat on, he has been instrumental in acquiring companies strategic to CloudBees’ business, most notably Electric Cloud and Rollout. His background is in software engineering, product management and business. Moritz grew up in Austria and lived in Vienna and Berlin before moving to the United States. He currently lives in Colorado.
Ellen Thorne is a global human resources leader with a passion for connecting corporate strategies to the employee experience. She was born and raised in Italy, moved 11 times and relocated permanently to the US in the mid 80’s. She got to experience the tech world as a child of an IBM engineer and eventually her career would pivot into the technology sector. Ellen’s experience spans from start-ups to mid-size companies and her passion is in solving for organizational and talent opportunities. She has been leading and growing the HR function at CloudBees. Her background includes strategic planning, organizational effectiveness and talent development in leadership roles and strategic consultation. She is based in Raleigh, North Carolina with her husband, two teenage daughters and furry baby. When not working, Ellen and her family enjoy salt life on the North Carolina coast.
André brings more than 20 years of experience in high technology marketing and communications to his role as vice president of marketing. He has experience in several enterprise software markets including application development tools, middleware, manufacturing and supply chain, enterprise search and software quality and testing tools. André has particular expertise in working with the executive teams of enterprise software companies to create unique competitive positioning, build pipeline and establish sustainable market leadership. Prior to joining CloudBees, he served as principal analyst for marketing technologies at Forrester Research. He has also held a number of senior management positions in marketing and communications with companies such as Segue Software, Hewlett-Packard, Unisys Corp. and Bluestone Software.
