In today’s digital age, business innovation is largely driven by software delivery. To win, serve and retain customers, organizations must release application updates at an increasingly faster pace and in a more agile manner. Large enterprises find they have to compete with Silicon Valley unicorns to stay relevant, and are encountering unique challenges as they strive to release faster—while ensuring quality, compliance and security.
Customers in the Financial Services (FinServ) sector, for example, need to be able to guarantee zero downtime to their end users, lest they be exposed to customer fear/uncertainty and business risk. FinServ is now but one industry aiming to solve the “zero downtime” paradigm. That’s why our goal continues to be laser-focused on enabling organizations to achieve speed without risking stability and governance. By giving large enterprises—the ‘horses’—similar capabilities to what the ‘unicorns’ have, we can help them create fully automated, error-free, and simple to use software delivery strategies without the heavy scripting and management overhead. This creates a significant competitive advantage for our clients, and is getting noticed in the marketplace.
In fact, we are realizing the strongest demand yet from our customer base – all of which are trying to deliver better software faster. Even though CloudBees is broadly recognized as a leader in DevOps Release Automation (see Gartner’s 2016 Magic Quadrant for Application Release Automation , Ovum’s ODM for DevOps Release Management 2016 , and Forrester’s ARA Wave 2015 ), we’re just getting started!
Our flagship DevOps Release Automation solution, CloudBees Flow, has generated powerful momentum in the form of big customer deals (including a Fortune 20 bank, a leading online mortgage lender and one of the top online stock trading firms). We’ve also recently been positioned as a “Best in Show for DevOps” in the SDTimes 100 .
To keep up with this exciting, yet demanding pace, we’ve expanded our leadership team and are thrilled for what the future has in store. Please join me in welcoming three new additions to the team: Tom Frederick, Board Member; John Giannitsis, Chief Revenue Officer; and Carmine Napolitano, Chief Financial Officer.
These industry veterans understand our vision of being THE leader in DevOps Release Automation and our commitment to delivering best-in-class technology and customer success. They know what it takes to make an immediate business impact and will each play a vital role in helping CloudBees continue its capture of the DevOps Release Automation market one win at a time.
Here’s a little more information on each of these leaders from this morning’s news announcement:
Tom Frederick, Board of Directors
Frederick will serve as the newest member on the Board of Directors. With more than 35 years of global and cross-industry experience in a wide variety of technology-based operating, investing and advising roles, Frederick is a proven leader with an established track record of creating industry level solutions, transforming organizations and building businesses.
John Giannitsis, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) Giannitsis works closely with the sales, marketing and engineering teams to enable a high-performing sales team through faster feedback loops both internally, and with customers. Giannitsis has more than 20 years of experience in sales, where he has led teams to big revenue numbers and company acquisitions.
Carmine Napolitano, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) As the CFO for CloudBees, Napolitano will oversee CloudBees’s financial activities and operations. With more than 25 years of experience in general, financial, and technology management in public and private companies, Napolitano has completed over $500M in financial transactions over his career.
I’m pleased to have these industry leaders on board. Each offers a unique set of skills that will help us capitalize on our current success and seize the lion’s share of the market over the coming years. The Application Release Automation (ARA) market presents a huge growth opportunity for CloudBees and recognition as leaders by several industry influencers definitely means there are exciting times ahead. By embracing the DevOps way and continuously improving our processes as a company, we are able to hit new heights and reach new milestones. It’s clear we have a lot of big things in store and I can’t wait to share what’s next!
