Looking Back at 2025: The Power of AND

5 min read

In software delivery, enterprises have spent years navigating a world full of false choices:

  • Keep the tools you know or take a risk on something new.

  • Move fast or stay safe.

  • Adopt AI or maintain control.

  • Modernize or protect what already works.

These supposed trade-offs have long forced technology leaders into choosing between innovation and stability, between progress and security.

Conventional wisdom insisted that modernization required replatforming. That enterprise-grade security came at the cost of developer velocity, and that embracing AI meant accepting governance risks.

In 2025, we showed the industry something different: enterprises don't have to choose. This philosophy was the foundation for everything we built in 2025.

2025 was the year of Unify—the year of the power of AND.

CloudBees Unify: Freedom AND Control

Our biggest moment of 2025 was officially launching CloudBees Unify: the open, flexible, enterprise-grade DevOps control and context plane that connects existing developer toolchains into a single, secure, AI-enhanced layer.

Our DevOps Migration Index report—based on an independent research survey of over 300 enterprise IT and DevOps leaders—validated this approach: 92% of organizations polled achieved better results by enhancing existing tools rather than replatforming.

Instead of forcing enterprises to choose, Unify delivers freedom AND control. You don’t have to abandon existing tools. Unify serves as a control layer that integrates seamlessly with popular tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins, giving teams autonomy while maintaining enterprise governance.

“CloudBees Unify understands what many platforms miss—ripping and replacing simply doesn't work at the enterprise level. We need solutions that complement our existing systems, not conflict with them.”

Speed AND Safety Without Compromise

For years now, vendors have been promising that platform migrations would deliver better security and governance.

Still, the reality is different: our report found that 75% of organizations report struggling to maintain security integrations after a platform migration. In comparison, only 6% of organizations saw improvement in mean time to resolution (MTTR) from platform switches.

Throughout 2025, we launched AI-powered capabilities that delivered speed AND safety together.

CloudBees MCP Server: Connecting AI Agents to DevOps Data

The CloudBees MCP Server connects Unify to AI agents and developer tools. The MCP Server provides developers with real-time access to pipeline, test, and security data, enabling them to trigger actions and resolve issues via natural language commands—delivering intelligence AND guardrails in a single solution.

We launched the CloudBees MCP Server on AWS Marketplace's new AI Agents and Tools category, deepening our partnership with AWS and streamlining the procurement process for enterprise customers who can now purchase through their existing AWS accounts rather than setting up separate vendor contracts.

We also integrated MCP Server with Amazon Q, giving developers a single AI interface to manage both AWS infrastructure and software delivery workflows.

AI First Responder: Intelligent Incident Triage Where Teams Work

Speed and safety seldom matter more than during incidents, when every minute counts and every mistake carries additional risk.

Our latest innovation, AI First Responder, brings AI-powered incident triage directly into Slack, where teams already work, reducing noise, speeding issue resolution, and helping teams stay aligned.

And because every AI-assisted action is logged and fully reviewable, teams get the assurance that automation is not operating in the dark. Instead, it strengthens traceability, governance, and team alignment at the moment organizations can least afford to compromise.

Recognition AND Validation

Announced at the beginning of 2025, CloudBees CEO Anuj Kapur was named "DevOps Industry Leader of the Year" in the 2024 DevOps Dozen Awards. The award recognizes his transformative impact on both CloudBees and the broader DevOps industry.

Since joining CloudBees in 2022, Kapur has driven accelerated growth and innovation, achieving profitability and surpassing $150 million in annual recurring revenue.

“Under the leadership of CEO Anuj Kapur, CloudBees has experienced remarkable momentum and transformation in just over two years. Focusing the company on the biggest DevSecOps challenges facing enterprises, the company acquired Launchable and made substantial performance and scalability improvements to Jenkins, positioning CloudBees at the forefront of scaling AI innovation within DevSecOps.”

This recognition marked the 10th consecutive year CloudBees has been recognized in the DevOps Dozen Awards. Throughout 2025, this leadership excellence extended across our products and culture, earning validation in every dimension of our business.

Security AND Velocity

CloudBees Unify Continuous Security—our embedded security and compliance automation that works directly within CI/CD workflows without slowing developers down—earned "Compliance Software Solution of the Year" by CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards—proof you can automate controls and keep pipelines moving.

“Unify is purpose-built for large, regulated enterprises that need to modernize securely and deliver compliance without stunting innovation.”

Multi-cloud AND Control

CloudBees Unify was shortlisted for "Multi/Hybrid Cloud Product of the Year" at the Computing Cloud Excellence Awards 2025—recognition for making multi-cloud sane and secure without rip-and-replace.

AI Outcomes AND Accountability

Newsweek's AI Impact Award for CloudBees Smart Tests recognized measurable engineering outcomes and traceable guardrails. Smart Tests—our AI-powered testing intelligence suite—earned recognition for delivering both innovation and oversight.

Smart Tests amplifies human judgment by using AI to predict which tests matter most, helping organizations deliver faster feedback loops, streamline pipelines, and ship higher-quality code with confidence.

High Performance AND High Trust

In a year in which CloudBees expanded globally with continued investment across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, we were also named one of Inc.'s 2025 Best Workplaces. This nod reflects our bet that ambitious goals and an empowering culture compound results.

“At CloudBees, we believe impactful work happens when people feel trusted, empowered, and supported. This honor is a testament to our team and the culture they've created together.”

You AND Us

We built this year together.

Every step was shaped by the people who rely on CloudBees every day. Our community of customers, cloud ecosystem partners like AWS, and practitioners guided each decision we made in 2025.

When we listen to the people doing the work, instead of industry assumptions, we build better solutions.

2025 proved that the future of software delivery is defined by the progress that comes from combining priorities. It’s the power of AND.

Thank you for building that future with us.

As we move into 2026, we’re gearing up to lead AI-first content delivery. AND we’re just getting started.
