CloudBees Continues Strong Momentum in First Half of 2015 as Jenkins-Related Revenue Grows 170 Percent

Strong sales reflect enterprise adoption of Jenkins for continuous delivery

SANTA CLARA, CA. – JENKINS USER CONFERENCE – September 2, 2015 – CloudBees , the Enterprise Jenkins Company and continuous delivery leader, today announced that revenues continued to grow at a rapid pace in the first half of 2015. CloudBees’ monthly recurring revenues related to its Jenkins-based continuous delivery (CD) products grew by 170 percent in the six months ending June 30 over the comparable period in 2014.

The market for CD solutions has exploded, as IT teams transform to CD and DevOps practices to be able to respond quickly to business and market demands. With the explosion in adoption of CD, the use of Jenkins has also grown significantly. New, streamlined technologies that Jenkins supports – such as containerization and microservices – have also enabled CD practices based on Jenkins to become even more advanced.

“Continuous delivery is now a well-established strategic enterprise initiative, and Jenkins sits at the hub of that initiative,” said Sacha Labourey, CEO and founder, CloudBees. “With the continuing momentum we are seeing, we are positioned for even greater success throughout 2015 and beyond.”

CloudBees has attracted a list of top-name enterprise customers in a wide variety of industries including information technology, telecommunications, healthcare, financial services and retail. The company continued to expand its customer base in the first six months of 2015, increasing new customer acquisition by 132 percent over the comparable period in 2014.

CloudBees has ramped up hiring to meet the needs of its growing business. From year-end 2014 to June 30, 2015, the company has increased the size of its worldwide workforce by 55 percent. Employment has increased across all business lines – in marketing, sales, support, services, engineering and executive management.

The company also is expanding its global footprint, adding a new operations office in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, and expanding its headquarters in its recent move to new offices in San Jose, CA. CloudBees is also about to open a new office in Raleigh, N.C. Other offices include Richmond, VA, and Brussels, Belgium.

In 2015, CloudBees announced the closing of a new round of $23.5 million in growth funding. The latest commitment, led by longtime investor Lightspeed Venture Partners, brings the overall investment in CloudBees to nearly $50 million since the company’s founding in 2010.

Also in 2015, CloudBees made an acquisition and issued several product releases. The new product functionality better enables enterprises to optimize continuous delivery practices and use Jenkins at scale for more complex software delivery processes.
