CloudBees invests in EMEA, forges partnerships to capitalise on EMEA DevOps adoption
READING, UNITED KINGDOM – 3 May 2016 – CloudBees, Inc. , the enterprise Jenkins company and continuous delivery (CD) leader, today announced 83% revenue growth in its EMEA operations and the opening of its sales and marketing center for EMEA in Reading, UK. The new office will be led by Steven Harris, who has been appointed EMEA sales director. Harris will lead an expanded EMEA team to capitalise on growth in demand for continuous delivery solutions as enterprises seek solutions for greater agility and accelerated time to market.
Sacha Labourey, co-founder and CEO, CloudBees added: “The old ways of delivering software don’t work anymore, and we hear this every day from large enterprises in industries such as finance, automotive and telecom that are making the transformation to continuous delivery and a DevOps culture. We are investing heavily in our EMEA operations, having expanded the in-country and regional teams under the leadership of Steve Harris, and we look forward to playing our part in driving enterprise DevOps transformations for our customers in 2016.”
CloudBees’ revenue goals are based upon a significant increase in demand for continuous delivery solutions, which has powered the growth of open source Jenkins and the enterprise-ready CloudBees Jenkins Platform. Continuous delivery practices also enable an organization to transform to a DevOps culture, which is one of shared goals, collaboration and teamwork. These trends in software delivery are growing around the globe - including in EMEA.
Key regional highlights include:
CloudBees increased its headcount by 175 percent in EMEA in 2015. In Q1 2016, the trend has continued and the company has already made several new hires. The new offices in Reading will coordinate EMEA operations and serve as a hub for the entire regional sales organization and channel operations, as well as marketing and development personnel.
CloudBees grew its EMEA bookings by 83 percent in 2015 with many prestigious brands subscribing to the CloudBees Jenkins Platform. Current customers include organizations such as Allianz Insurance.
CloudBees expanded its partner network, and is providing tools to help its channel partners throughout the region to implement robust and scalable continuous delivery solutions for their customers. To date, eight new partners were signed in EMEA and India in Q1 of 2016 including Kiratech (Italy), Do Consultants (UK), Antelops (Spain), NewLine (Finland), Kloia (Turkey), LSD Information Technology (South Africa), ClicTest (India), Archinnova (UAE).
Mohamed Yassini, founder of Amazic , a CloudBees partner in Benelux commented, “We see a great opportunity in our partnership with CloudBees. Building and delivering high quality software is more important than ever for our customers, and CloudBees is the right partner because they have the vision, products and services to help our clients stay ahead in a competitive landscape differentiated by software.”
Steven Harris, formerly senior director overseeing an enterprise product portfolio at Oracle, has taken on a new role with CloudBees, leading the growing sales team in EMEA which currently includes in-country support in the UK and Ireland, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, the Nordics and Benelux with overall support throughout the region.
The CloudBees EMEA team has also expanded to include DevOps consultants, developers and technical support for EMEA customers, partners and also its product development.
Adam Rates, Senior IT manager, Allianz Insurance commented, “Both the way people buy insurance, and insurance itself, have changed dramatically in the past few years with the shift to online, mobile and comparison buying. Companies that can innovate faster will have happier customers and gain a competitive edge. The key to continuous delivery is implementing effective automation, and CloudBees has helped us to do this reliably and on the scale we need.”
Harris commented: “Continuous delivery is gaining traction across EMEA and we’re seeing very strong demand for enterprise-grade solutions as organizations put Jenkins into production. CloudBees and our partners are in an ideal position to help companies take the risk and complexity out of adopting continuous delivery and to enable their transition to DevOps. Q4 2015 was our strongest quarter ever in EMEA, and we continue to see accelerated growth in Q1 2016. ”
