The Jenkins project was part of the April, 2021 She Code Africa Contributhon. The Contributhon paid 16 women in Africa to spend one month contributing to sponsored open source projects. The Jenkins project provided mentoring for 5 of those women. This session will share our experiences and the lessons we learned from mentoring women in Africa as they started their first contributions to open source projects. We'll discuss organizational challenges, mentor recruiting, technology complications, and more.
