Let’s get some background information about yourself. Where did you grow up?

Growing up, my family and I moved around a lot, since my dad worked for a local telephone company that always required a change of living. I have called Minnesota, North Carolina, Illinois, and Florida home, but I usually just identify myself as from Chicago. And today I call Texas home, along with my wife, daughter, and two dachshunds named Sammy and Frank.

Prior to joining Codeship?

Before Codeship, I worked for several different companies. To name a few, I worked at Avatier Corporation as a Senior Systems Engineer, Rackspace where I was both a developer and a developer advocate, and my last job was for a startup, ShopKeep, where I was also a Senior Software Developer.

Explain what you do at Codeship

I work remotely from San Antonio, Texas, as a Senior Software Developer (full stack developer). I work on our front-end system, which is written in Ruby on Rails, as well as our back-end system written in Go. I've touched every system we run, but most days I find myself working on our main application which is written in Ruby and Ruby on Rails.

Why did you decide to work for Codeship?

At Codeship, I get to make life better for developers, and I get to do it while working with an amazing team! The team is great, and everyone works really well together.

Why should others join the Codeship team?

Their product space is interesting to developers, and we're working with some exciting new technologies like Go and Docker. It's an exciting time for everyone, and I'm happy to be a part of it.

Do you have any fun facts about yourself?

I have embraced my inner Texan and have developed a passion for BBQ. You can read more about it at here!
