For any company (but especially for banks), releasing controlled software is not only a must, but a business priority. By "controlled", we mean software that went through all defined and mandatory tests, analysis, ... that reflect the state of the art at the corporate level. HSBC is implementing DevOps processes - made possible through a set of tools - ensuring that every piece of software, when released into production, has the required level of control defined, not by the projects, but by transversal teams making sure all controls are compliant with the state of the art.
