Continuous Discussions (#c9d9): Episode 15 Recap – Consistent Deployments Across Dev, Test and Prod

Written by: Electric Bee

Last Tuesday on Continuous Discussions we had a lively discussion with our panelists on how do we end the problem of "It worked on my machine! ".

We've all been there - when your pipeline suffers, and your release is delayed, while you're trying ot figure out why something that worked in Dev breaks in QA, or worst- in Production.

We asked our panelists for specific tips on how to ensure fidelity across environments, some of the challenges with ensuring consistency (for example, when you can't access your production environment), and how to support an end-to-end view, instead of brittle scripting and islands of automation.
