We were thrilled to be able to sponsor and exhibit at last week's Chefconf, and rub shoulders with our industry brethren. We can’t say enough about how far we’ve all come in this world of software delivery – we are proud to be in the company of so many great minds, practitioners and leaders.
At the show, we caught up with Jason Bloomberg, President of Intellyx and Forbes contributor, to discuss everything from the Internet of Things to Continuous Delivery for mobile apps. Jason wrote a wonderful recap about the event, highlighting the common themes and overarching problem sets that organizations encounter when developing and delivering software at scale. Automation, he describes, is the name of the game, “from all phases of the software lifecycle” and it also “facilitates DevOps, but the continuous delivery/continuous integration goals of the approach are really about supporting the changing needs of the business at velocity.”
Thanks again to Chef for putting on a wonderful event, and hope everyone has a great week ahead.
DevOps practices increase collaboration to give teams shared visibility and control of critical software pipelines. While there are no tools that can magically help you “achieve DevOps,” having the right tools facilitates organizational agility.
