CloudBees Continues to Buzz with Growth

Leading PaaS Provider Sees Continued Success in First Half of 2013 with Growth in Revenue, New Customers and Partners

WOBURN, MA. - September 11, 2013 - CloudBees, Inc. , the Java Platform as a Service (PaaS) innovation leader, today announced a record-setting first half of 2013 with growth in revenue, customers and partnerships. In the first half of 2013, CloudBees' revenue increased by 148 percent compared to the first half of 2012. That success, along with an expanded global presence, continues to lay the foundation for further growth for the rest of 2013.

The demand for the CloudBees PaaS continues to grow as organizations realize they can use it to significantly accelerate the delivery of web and mobile applications. In the first half of 2013, the number of new CloudBees accounts more than doubled over the same time period of 2012. The growth demonstrates the increasing adoption of PaaS technology, overall, and the CloudBees PaaS, specifically. CloudBees also increased the size of its total customer base by 135 percent during the same timeframe.

In the first half 2013, the CloudBees Partner Ecosystem expanded 225 percent, increasing its total number of partners to 73. The CloudBees Ecosystem includes Technology Partners and Services Partners. Technology Partners provide an extensive variety of best-of-breed hosted services available from the CloudBees Platform. Such services include application testing, performance monitoring, log management, mail and database service providers, among others. In the first half of 2013, CloudBees added a number of new Technology Partners, including SOASTA, BlazeMeter and CloudAMQP. The CloudBees Services Partner program was launched at the end of 2012 and now includes more than 30 partners worldwide.

CloudBees recently announced the acquisition of FoxWeave, a provider of cloud-based data integration services, bringing native data migration and synchronization services to the CloudBees Platform. CloudBees announced openings of new sales offices in Brussels and in Richmond, Va., further establishing its global presence and providing room for future sales expansion as CloudBees ramps up its presence throughout Europe and North America. The new offices join existing CloudBees offices in Boston and San Francisco. The growth has fueled an increase in employee count by 42 percent this year.

"The activity we're seeing shows just how strong the demand is for PaaS solutions and how much value our customers are experiencing using the CloudBees Platform," said Sacha Labourey, founder and CEO, CloudBees. "We expect our performance to continue to accelerate throughout 2013 and into 2014 as we add new customers, build up our vibrant Partner Ecosystem and take advantage of new opportunities in the marketplace."
